A surgical needle is bent and applied onto the tube and the suture material is then carefully wrapped around the tube and blades. The entire assembly is then placed into a mold and over three days a non yellowing acrylic is poured. Once the acrylic has hardened. the assembly is removed from the mold and placed on a lathe, turned, polished and the matched with the pen
